Jon: Tonight's guest is a very busy man. He appears on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and will also be in this summer's Austin Powers Sequel, and is in the new horror film, "Idle Hands," which opens on Friday. [Shows clip from "Idle Hands." Jon: Please welcome, Seth Green. [crowd goes wild as Seth comes out, dressed in a black shirt, blue jeans and a leather jacket.] Seth: What'd you feed them sugar before the show? Jon: They love their Seth Green. I'm very pleased to meet you. We almost got a chance to meet a while back. Seth: I know, I know. You've been keeping me hanging. Okay, little known story. Jon had a great show on MTV, and I loved that show. When I was doing a show in Hawaii, and they booked me on Jon's show. I was like, "Yeah, Jon Stewart. Woo Hoo. Then his show got canceled, and I got screwed. Jon: Yeah. You know, I didn't actually get canceled. What happened was, they found out that I had booked a young actor that I really liked called Seth Green. Seth: Right, I heard about that. Jon: They said, if you put Seth Green on this show, that's it! And I said, "No, I'm putting him on." And that was the battle. That's what it was. It was all, honestly, I wasn't canceled, it was me standing up for a young man that I thought had some talent. Seth: Thank you, Jon. Jon: Seth Green. Seth: I knew, I knew. Somewhere deep in my heart, I knew it was like that. Jon: It was unfortunately, not. I came in one day and all the doors were locked, actually. It was the badest thing in the world. Seth: It was such a cool show. It was so much fun. Jon: I know, we got to meet Tony, Toni Tone. It doesn't get any better than that. Eight dudes with trombones, what's better than that? Seth: Well, uh, ten? Jon: You're doing great. Your the busiest man in show business. First of all, can I tell you, Austin Powers, is such a great movie. Seth: Oh cool. Right on. Jon: We have a world premiere clip of it. Seth: Alright, let's whip it out. Jon: Let's whip it out. It's the world premiere clip of Seth Green in Austin Powers 2. [CLIP of Scott and Dr. Evil and a "Zip It" scene. (Like the "Shh" scene.)] Jon: I don't know if you can get anymore popular than you are with the young people. It may put you over the top into unbelievable. Seth: Maybe if I got like five other guys and we had a harmonizing R&B band. It's a thought. Jon: Seth Green and N'Sync is what you're telling me. Seth: It's what I'm getting at. Jon: I think I like it very much. Seth: I see it. Jon: What happens when all the young girls get to see Seth Green? Seth: Oh, I get all the marriage proposals from all the 12 to 15 year olds. They just don't even do the math. They're like, "How old are you?" I'm 25. "Oh, you're ten years... that's just be like, when I'm 60, you'll be... I could take care of you. And you could do my homework!" It's a good trade I guess. Jon: And the other fans just want you to probably... Seth: Oh, my god. Some people love the show and they get really nutty with it. Somebody told me that they wrote like, erotica on the Internet based on the Buffy characters. I'm just afraid to look, you know you don't want to read about yourself in Pent House Letter. Jon: I've looked. It's nice. It's tastefully done. Seth: Tastefully. Jon: It's not the bad stuff that you see otherwise, and you're portrayed very well. Seth: Sweet. Jon: So, it's a good thing. Seth: They said I was a large man. [audience laughs] Four years for this?! Jon: That's what we'd call cyber innuendo from Seth Green. I think it was probably. I was shocked to see you after four years. It kinda put me back. Can you stay for the rest of the show? Seth: Sure, man I'll hang. Jon: For the rest of the week? Seth: Yeah, a couple of weeks? [Seth puts his hand on Jon's leg.] Jon: What if we did Seth Green...That's my leg. [laughs] Jon: Speaking of which, "Idle hands" opens on Friday. Seth Green...will be here all week. |
